BGC V-Date Idea: ELEPHANT GROUNDS & LA PICARA

Coffee has & always been a part of our Saturday dates.
It's the perfect 'Wake Me Up' to keep us on our feet as my boyfriend is a sleepyhead.
Oh, we just love exploring new cafes for us to chill & have our heart to heart talks.
So if you're looking for a unique dining experience at BGC, check out my BGC V-date idea.

Elephant Grounds, a HK-based Coffee shop, serves ice cream sandwiches, coffee & more.
I just love its wall design and its laid back orange-black color theme.
'BLACK TIE' coffee, a layered drink of espresso, milk & cream, was my choice of drink.
I just love its bittersweet taste, nothing too overpowering, a must order when I come back.
I also loved their unique homemade 'HIGH SOCIETEA' ice cream sandwich.
The fusion of Chocolate chip cookies, Earl Grey ice cream & Biscoff cookies was perfect.
After having that caffeine dose & sweet inspirations at Elephant Grounds,
It's time to take your date out to a fancy dinner at La Picara!
Oh,trust me, she'll love the posh yet relaxed vibe of this Spanish resto.
Nothing too intimidating, just cozy, warm & inviting.
Every corner is picturesque & IG-worthy that you'd certainly want to have your photo taken.
Oh, we just love the vibrant backdrop. Feels like we're in a different country alright.
The Tropical Cuban inspired design makes me want to dress up like a Flamenco dancer.
Off to our gastronomic feast at this AHH-mazingly delicious & mouthwatering resto.
Even the plates are so unique & cute that I just want to take these home.
Your taste buds will surely be excited for what's in store for you.
As I'm writing this dining experience, I already wish that I'm back at La Picara.
There are just so many more Spanish dishes, with a Filipino twist, that I want to taste.
So for starters, my date & I had Tartare de Salmon with miso mayo & ripe mango.
I just love how the flavors of the mango complemented the fresh tuna.
The dish was very simple, but the taste was exceptional.
We tried out ARROZ MELOSO DE PULPO, paella, topped with tobiko & parsley aioli.
This dish did not disappoint, we loved the hint of spice too.
I hoped for a larger serving as their food is too good to be even shared by two.
I'm sure my date wouldn't mind if he just watches me gobble down the food next time.
The star of our night was the BEEF CHEEKS, a must order!
I'd love to have 2 orders of these for myself the next time I visit.
Call me a piggy, but my, my, this is one of the best beef cheeks I ever tasted.
It was 100% tender & flavorful over a bed of mashed potatoes & saba.
Burp! The calories are all so worth it.
If you haven't tried this out, bring your date this V-day, & you'll definitely score 'Pogi' points.
Heard their Sangrias are delicioso so I'll try it on my next visit.
Cap off your night with your loved at La Picara's Al Fresco area to have a view of BGC.
 Til the next DATE,
